Núria Coll

Núria Coll-Bonfill holds a PhD in Biology and has a solid background in biomedical research and science communication. With more than 15 years of experience in the research field, she has focused her work on cellular and vascular aging and rare diseases, particularly Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria syndrome. She has developed her research career at prestigious institutions such as the University of Barcelona, IDIBAPS–Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, the University of Regensburg in Germany, and Saint Louis University in the United States. In the field of science communication, Núria holds a postgraduate degree in scientific communication and has been a prominent voice in translating scientific knowledge for the general public. She has worked as a science writer for various media outlets, including the newspaper ARA, and has contributed to several radio programs such as Catalunya Ràdio and Ràdio 4, as a scriptwriter and more recently also as a presenter and co-director of the program "Diga-li Ciència" and the audiovisual capsules "7Ciències+" for La Xarxa de Televisions Locals. She has also been a scientific consultant for editorial projects such as the illustrated book "A Girl Among 20 Million," which deals with Progeria. In addition, she is the founder and director of 7Ciències.cat, a platform dedicated to science communication in Catalan, featuring sections on research, the history of science, interviews, arts and science, and more. Combining research experience with strong communication skills, she continues to work to bring science closer to society and to promote an accessible and inspiring scientific culture.
