Appointments

We are pleased to announce that Carmen Freire, Coordinating Researcher at CICECO (Aveiro, Portugal), has joined the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) for the M4HTH (Materials for Health) area at ICMAB. This new appointment strengthens our international collaborations and expertise in functional and sustainable materials for biomedical applications. 

ICMAB researcher M. Rosa Palacín, expert in batteries from the Solid State Chemistry group, has been appointed along with Xavier Cabré (ICREA) and Eulàlia Planas (UPC).

Agustín Mihi, Gerard Tobías and Florencio Sánchez are the ICMAB Researchers to access this position in this call. Congratulations!

On the last 21 December 2023 , M. Rosa Palacín Peiró was appointed Academic Elect of the Chemistry Section of RACAB (Reial Acadèmia de les Ciències i Arts de Barcelona), on the topic Solid-State Electrochemistry.

Xavier Obradors leaves the Direction of ICMAB after 14 years. The new appointed Deputy Directors are Lourdes Fábrega and Martí Gich. 

Gabriele De Luca has been granted with a Ramón y Cajal grant from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.

To commemorate this anniversary, a ceremony was held at the CSIC Delegation in Barcelona, with the attendance of the Secretary General for Science Policy, the President of the CSIC, and the Government Delegate in Catalonia.

“I am honored to take the responsibility of continuing the endeavor to promote a dynamic SNF” says ICMAB Director.

The IVA gave Kasper Moth-Poulsen this distinction at the end of 2021.
