ICMAB’s 2024 most published journals - A year in review

Our ICMAB researchers do great science, and also publish the results in specialized scientific journals, to disseminate the research results they obtain. This year 2024 our researchers have published 247 research articles in many different journals, in the fields of physics, chemistry, materials, nanotechnology and more. Top 10 ICMAB articles with a higher IF in 2024 - A year in review

The Clarivate journal Impact Factor (IF) metric system gives a yearly numeric indicator of how much has an article been cited and how much impact has it had. With nearly 250 publication with IF, ICMAB's average IF has been 9.6, with 27% of the publications with an IF higher than 10.

¿Hidrogeles sintéticos para mejorar la inmunoterapia contra el cáncer?

La inmunoterapia es uno de los campos de investigación más prometedores en la lucha contra el cáncer, pero necesita mucha investigación para superar ciertas limitaciones detectadas hasta ahora. Por ejemplo, en el caso de las inmunoterapias personalizadas basadas en células CAR-T es importante mejorar los sistemas de producción celulares para que tengan buena calidad y se puedan generar de forma rápida y económica. Las células CAR-T son linfocitos modificados genéticamente para que sean capaces de detectar el tumor de forma efectiva. Son, en otras palabras, el medicamento que se utiliza en las inmunoterapias celulares.
