Hi all! I’m Esteve Ribas, student of the master’s degree in Advanced Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at the UAB. I've recently joined the Functional Nanomaterials and Surfaces (FunNanoSurf) group to carry out my master thesis. The work will be focused on the synthesis of new curcuminoid molecules and testing their properties for sensing applications. I'm really glad to have the opportunity to work at the ICMAB and I hope to learn a lot and enjoy this experience!
Hello everyone! My name is Marc and I have just joined, as a Ph.D. student, the Soft Matter Theory group. I will be developing computational models capable of predicting the interaction of encapsulated viruses (in particular, SARS-CoV-2) with materials, including textile surfaces and fibers. I am sure I will have an amazing time at ICMAB. I love doing sports, hiking, and being in contact with nature.
My name is Marta Sanz Lleó. I have studied Chemistry degree at UAB. After that, I received a grant to do a Master’s programme in Industrial Innovation from ESDi University in collaboration with Eurecat Technology Center. Since then, I am a researcher at Eurecat. During these 6 years, I have taken part in different projects related to optoelectronic devices, like OPV, HyLEDs, LECs & EL. Now in collaboration with Eurecat I’m going to start my PhD in the NANOPTO group of ICMAB under the supervision of Dr. Mariano Campoy. My PhD programme will be focused on developing NIR organic photodetectors through printing techniques. I’m strongly convinced that this project will be an exciting experience for me during the next years.
Hey there! I’m Toni Yglesias from Barcelona, and I am a last year student of the double degree in Physics and Chemistry. I’m joining ICMAB to do my final degree project in the Theory and Simulation group, studying phonon transport in ferroelectric perovskites, using DFT calculations. I'm looking forward to this experience!
Hi, my name is Kim and I am an undergraduate Physics and Mathematics student at UAB. I will be working at ICMAB with Dr. Riccardo Rurali in order to complete my final degree project. I enjoy travelling, reading, learning new things, doing sports and being in touch with nature. I am eager to start my internship to broaden my knowledge and hopefully contribute a little bit too. It will probably be a little difficult for us to meet, yet I hope to see all of you around!
Hi! It is Ruben here and I am a last-year student of Physics and Chemistry at UAB. I am joining Inorganic Materials and Catalysis group under the supervision of Dr. Rosario Nuñez. My work in ICMAB will be focused on the characterization of different fluorophores based on perylene derivatives coupled to boron clusters. See you around!
