MªÀngels Vilella Illa

Hello everyone!

My name is Mª Àngels Vilella, and I’m from Sabadell. I studied Philosophy at the UAB, although life eventually led me down different paths. I currently divide my time between ICMAB and illustration, so I only work in the mornings, working those mornings as a Project Manager, and I dedicate the rest of my creative energy to what inspires me the most: illustration — and within it, scientific illustration.

Besides drawing, I love cinema, reading, and above all, spending time with the people I care about. I’m curious, observant, and I enjoy diving deep into details — whether in an image, an idea, or a good conversation. I’m looking forward to meeting you all soon!

In my life, scientific illustration holds a central place. I’m passionate about it because it brings together precision and sensitivity, rigor and creativity. Translating scientific knowledge into clear and beautiful images is a challenge that truly stimulates me, and a space where many of my strengths converge: detailed observation, a sense of structure, an aesthetic eye, and the desire to communicate in a direct and meaningful way.
