Xavier Obradors and the energy transition at the “Què és la normalitat?” seminar, organized by IDAEA
The seminar “Què és la normalitat? Cursa cap a la transició energètica i un ús sostenible dels recursos naturals” will occur on 20 December 2021 at the Institut de Diagnosi Ambiental i Estudis de l’Aigua (IDAEA-CSIC).
Banner for the event.
The event, organised by the Sustainability Comittee at the Institut de Diagnosi Ambiental i Estudis de l’Aigua (IDAEA-CSIC), focuses on the conflict between the increasing demand for energy in the last 100 years and our inability to increase the available fossil fuels on the planet, which demands for a radical change. Is there something we can do to cushion the incoming shortages? Is the lack of resources a real issue? Can science find solutions before it is too late? Are we too tecnoptimistic?
This seminar will contain 3 talks and a roundtable that will cover these topics, from the hand of specialists in our energy future and the critical natural resources required for it.
