Short Abstract
Quantum computing will open up new frontiers and represent a true disruption in the ICT sector. It is an exciting revolution, which will also act as an accelerator for today’s great revolution: AI. This is still an emerging technology, but one with significant potential impact, both economically and geopolitically.
The session will address the current context of the ICT sector, discuss the three current structural barriers that quantum technology will help to overcome, present the fundamentals of quantum computing as well as its economic impact, and conclude by exploring how organizations can prepare to become quantum ready. It will also include a brief look at the role of Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech, as a pioneering startup in the sector.

La computació quàntica obrirà noves fronteres i suposarà una autèntica disrupció al sector de les tecnologies TIC. És una revolució apassionant, que a més servirà d'accelerador de la gran revolució actual, la de la IA. Es tracta d'una tecnologia encara incipient, però amb un impacte potencial significatiu, tant en l'àmbit econòmic com en el geopolític.
La sessió tractarà del context actual del sector TIC, comentarà les tres barreres estructurals actuals del sector que la quàntica contribuirà a superar, presentarà les bases de la computació quàntic així com el seu impacte econòmic, per acabar plantejant com les organitzacions es poden preparar per ser quantum ready. A això també s'hi afegirà una pinzellada del paper de Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech, com a startup pionera al sector.
