The International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE) in Bologna gathers many ICMAB researchers working on the batteries of the future
Many ICMAB researchers from the Solid State Chemistry group are presenting their research on novel batteries configuations and electrochemistry at the 69th Annual Meeting of the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE) that takes places in Bologna (Italy) from 2 to 7 September 2018.

The main topics covered by our scientists are within Symposium 6 "Batteries into the Future: from Advanced Lithium-Ion Systems to Novel Chemistries and Architectures", such as sodium-ion batteries, or electrolytes and cathodes for calcium and magnesium batteries. One of the topics is within Symposium 3 "Bioelectrochemistry Returns to the Home of Galvani", on neural electrostimulation.
The co-chairs of the Organizing Committee are Dr. Marco Musiani, ICMATE CNR, and Prof. Francesco Paolucci, Bologna University, ICMATE Associate.
The ISE meeting has received over 2,400 scientific contributions from 67 countries. The participation is expected to exceed 1,800 delegates. The scientific program includes the plenary lecture “The Role of Electrochemistry in Providing Technical Solutions to the Climate Challenge” by Prof. Steven Chu, Nobel laureate.
