As every year, we celebrated the ICMAB Party, this year on Friday 17^th of May. The day was packed with different activities for everyone, all organized by ICMAB staff!

We started the day by having breakfast at the garden, and then we had the amazing ping-pong semifinals!

After that, we had several parallel activities: we had a salsa masterclass organized by Valeria Carreto, and a sketching contest organized by Alejandro Santos. As well, at the same time started the chess tournament (coorganized by Ferran Vallès and Oriol Roig). During all day we had as well an area for playing board games, this being organized by Antoni Miquel Socias and another area to learn to play GO, organized by Bernhard Dörling.

Later in the morning we had a ‘gimcana’, organized by different members of the Early Stage Researchers group, and a Cuisine Contest organized by Martí Ramis, Karla Marlene Mena and Alejandro Cuesta.

The ICMAB choir sang some fantastic songs, and after we had the pregó, by David Piña.

We then had lunch at the garden (plus we ate everything cooked for the cuisine contest, all dishes were amazing!!).

After lunch, ICMAB Director David Amabilino handed all the awards, and then, to end the day, we had a fantastic musical bingo. See you next year at yet another ICMAB Party!

SKETCHING CONTEST

First prize for Mª Angels Vilella and second prize for Mariano Campoy. You can see all the pictures of the contest here. Big thanks to the popular voting!

CUISINE CONTEST

The winners of the world cuisine contest were: Susana Gutiérrez and Alfonsina A. A. Torimbutun for the International Category,  Francesc Xavier Capella in the Mediterranean Category and, finally, the Public’s Choice Awards was for Longyi Fan! Congratulation to all participants!

PING-PONG

The winner of the Ping-Pong tournament was Ferran Vallès, being Xavier Rodríguez de finalist. The final was very exciting and consisted of three high-level sets!

CHESS TOURNAMENT

The winner of the Chess tournament was, as it has been happening for the last years, Luís Pérez. Congratulations! We would also like to thank the association "Les Torres de la UAB" for letting us the material for the chess tournament.
