Organic and Molecular Electronics Meeting at ICMAB (ORGI2019)

The event, held on 8-9 May, belongs to the series of workshops offering an overview of the different research areas covered by the ICMAB Severo Ochoa Strategic Plan. It was focused on molecular and organic electronics, and organised by a local organising committee formed by researchers of the research lines RL1 (Sustainable energy conversion and storage systems) and RL4 (Molecular electronics).

The event counted with invited speakers from the neigboring center IMB-CNM-CSIC, the UAB and the technological center Eurecat: Eloi Ramón (IMB-CNM-CSIC), Xavier Cartoixà (UAB-Electronic Engineering Department), Cecilia Jiménez (IMB-CNM-CSIC), Paul Lacharmoise (Eurecat) and Neus Sabaté (Fuelium, Spin-off IMB-CNM-CSIC). The invited speakers talks were a great opportunity to see the applications and applied research of molecular and organic electronics, specially those coming from the technological center and from the spin-off.

Speakers who presented their contributions were mainly from the ICMAB, but also from the UPC and the UAB. Young PhD reserachers were given the opportunity to present their results. The participants of the meeting were very prone to ask questions and many debates originated from the different talks. A total of 70 participants were registered to participate.

The organizing committee was formed by Rosario Núñez (IML), Mariano Campoy-Quiles (NANOPTO), Esther Barrena (SURFACES), Marta Mas-Torrent (NANOMOL) and Enric Canadell (THEORY), all researchers at the ICMAB, belonging to different research groups.
