This conference consists of 26 parallel symposia, with invited speakers, oral and posters presentations, in the broad field of materials science. The conference includes plenary sessions, an exhibition with around 80 international exhibitors, satellite events and awards.

ICMAB will participate in the conference with more than 15 contributions, including oral and poster presentations, from different Research Groups: Solid State Chemistry, Nanostructured Optoelectronics Materials (NANOPTO), Physical Chemistry of Surfaces and Interfaces, Molecular Nanoscience and Organic Materials (NANOMOL), Materials Simulation and Theory, Magnetic Materials and Functional Oxides, and the Superconducting Materials and Large Scale Nanostructures (SUMAN).  

Riccardo Rurali, from the Materials Simulation and Theory group, co-organizes the Symposium "U" on "Computer modeling of thermal transport at the nanoscale" in the NANOMATERIALS section. 

This conference is a great opportunity to present and discover new advances in many different Materials Science fields: energy, biomaterials, superconductors, nanomaterials and functional materials; all of them, expertise of the ICMAB researchers. 

In this year's edition, 2016 Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry Jean-Pierre Sauvage, awarded for his work on the design and synthesis of molecular machines, will participate and give a speech during E-MRS Spring Meeting.
