The Stanford ranking lists the most cited researchers in the world. It provides standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship-adjusted hm-index, citations to articles in different authorship positions and a composite indicator from the other metrics (c-score).
Separate data are shown for career-long impact (citations through the end of 2023) and for citation impact in the calendar year 2023. Citation data and investigator profiles are extracted from Scopus. Field- and subfield-specific percentiles are also provided for all scientists according to the Science-Metrix classification of 22 fields and 174 subfields. The selection includes the top 100,000 scientists by c-score (with and without self-citations) or with a percentile of 2% or higher in their subfield.
In this year's edition ICMAB has 17 researchers in the career-wide ranking and 16 in the 2023 ranking. In both, the highest ranked researcher is M. Rosa Palacín, with position 23,124 in the former and 8,051 in the latter.
