Abstract
Japanese Analytical Instruments (JAI) specializes in advanced preparative GPC and HPLC systems engineered for high-precision fractionation and purification. Their technology targets a wide spectrum of compounds—from monomers and small functional molecules to oligomers, polymers, supramolecular assemblies, advanced materials, and chiral molecules.

Key Technology Highlights
- Unique Recycling Function
JAI systems feature a closed-loop recycling mechanism. Effluent leaving the column can be redirected back to the column inlet without adding extra solvent. Each recycle pass incrementally improves the resolution between closely eluting fractions, ensuring exceptional purity and yield.
Capable of purifying from
10 mg up to several grams of product in a single injection, these systems are optimized not just for molecular weight analysis but for the
precise separation and recovery of target compounds.
Instruments accommodate
600 mm GPC columns and can also operate in
normal phase, reverse phase, SEC (size-exclusion chromatography), or chiral modes, making them adaptable to a broad range of research needs.
- Automated fraction collection with 9 internal or 33 external positions.
