ICMAB Open Positions
Postdoctoral Open position on: Use of natural polymers for developing multifunctional nanocomposites
Deadline: Jan 30, 2024
Are you interested in the use of natural polymers for developing multifunctional nanocomposites? Do you know that advanced hydrogels play a key role in tissue regeneration?
If you are interested in those topics, the Nanoparticles Nanocomposites (NN) group at The Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC) is seeking a motivated candidate to join the BIOSOFTREGE project https://nn.icmab.es/projects/ and design sophisticated natural hydrogels and nanoparticles systems for tissue regeneration with a variety of shapes, and topographies while also encompassing biocompatibility, biointegrability, mechanical compliance, stimuli responsiveness or programmed biodegradation profiles.
Requirements of the candidates
We seek candidates with a Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biomedicine, Nanotechnology, Chemistry or similar.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical abilities and quick comprehension of new subjects.
- Aptitude for teamwork and excellent communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to work in multidisciplinary environments.
Experience in the following areas would be considered: natural polymers, hydrogels, nanoparticles.
Responsibilities:
Be part of the research group, working together with biologists and chemists.
Help to supervise MSc and undergraduate students.
Design and perform experiments to ensure that the technical solutions adopted meet the established requirements.
Job offer: We offer one-year contract with the possibility of extending it further upon performance. Salary range before tax (33.000 – 40.000 /year) depending on experience.
