This joint event between ICMAB and ICM (both CSIC centers) will explore the upcoming changes in ERC calls for 2026 and outline all the support services available for researchers in an event open to all the research community.

Agenda
10:00–10:15 a.m. – Welcome by the Directors of the Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM), the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB), and the International Programmes Area (API, VRI-CSIC).
10:15–11:00 a.m. – ERC Work Programme 2026: considerations for applicants in light of the changes in Part B1 and B2, evaluation questions and eligibility for 2026 and 2027. Speakers:

11:00–12:00 p.m. – Success Stories from Each Center. Speakers:
12:00–12:45 p.m. – Available support resources to applicants: CSIC Pro-ERC Action Plan by API, VRI-CSIC.
12:45–1:30 p.m. – Internal Session at Each Center: roundtable with ERC grantees, evaluators and grant advisors.
1:30 p.m. – Lunch break.
3:00 p.m. – One-to-One Meetings: Interviews with researchers interested in submitting an ERC proposal with API, VRI-CSIC grant advisors (to be requested in the registration form).
Note: The event will take place simultaneously at both ICM and ICMAB, following the same program and schedule until 12:45 p.m. This initial part will be held online and projected in the conference rooms of both institutes. From 12:45 p.m. onwards, each center will continue with its own internal, in-person session. In the afternoon, starting at 3:00 p.m., API-VRI-CSIC (International Progams Area of the International Relations Vicepresidency) staff will hold individual meetings with researchers who have requested them through the registration form.
