Laia Soler, PhD researcher at the Superconducting Materials and Large Scale Nanostructures (SUMAN) group, won the Best Young Researchers Presentation at the European Conference on Applied Superconductors 2017 (EUCAS) in the section "Materials".
Laia's talk was on "Mechanisms of novel transient liquid assisted growth of ultrafast production of YBa2Cu3O7-x thin films", which is one of the main topics of her PhD, supervised by Prof. Xavier Obradors.
This conference, organized by The European Society for Applied Superconductors, was held in Geneva (Switzerland) on 17-21 September 2017, in the International Conference Center of Geneva (CICG). It was hosted by CERN, in collaboration with the University of Geneva and EPFL-SPC.
EUCAS is a worldwide knowledge sharing platform for scientists & engineers on applied superconductivity: from large-scale applications to miniature electronics. This year's conference counted with 1026 participants registered, 26 exhibitors and 10 sponsors.
Congratulations Laia!
