This year’s meeting focused on Chemistry and brought together some of the brightest scientific minds from around the world. With more than 30 Nobel Laureates in attendance and over 600 young scientists from 85 different countries, the Lindau Meetings offer a rare and prestigious platform for scientific dialogue across generations and disciplines. Selection is highly competitive, with each participant nominated and reviewed through a rigorous, multi-stage process.

Saeed participated in the meeting with the support of a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship, which funds his research at ICMAB on advanced energy-harvesting nanomaterials. Over the week, he had the chance to engage directly with various Nobel Laureates, attend lectures and panel discussions on global scientific challenges, and connect with fellow early-career researchers from around the world.

Reflecting on the experience, Saeed shared: “It was an incredible privilege to be part of the Lindau Meeting. Engaging in conversations with Nobel Laureates and fellow young scientists was both humbling and energizing. I’m sincerely thankful to the Lindau Committee for selecting me and offering this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
