Lluís Casabona, PhD researcher at the e-MolMat group at ICMAB and INPhINIT fellow of “la Caixa” Foundation, has taken part in the communication program “Shoot Your PhD”, which helps young researchers learn how to share their science in an engaging and accessible way.
As part of the initiative, organized in collaboration with Big Van Ciencia, participants received training on science communication and professional video production. Each researcher then recorded a short 3-minute video about their doctoral project.

In his PhD, Lluís works on the development of new organic materials for printed electronics — specifically, organic transistors that can be fabricated on flexible surfaces. This technology could make it possible to produce cost-effective, sustainable, and versatile electronic devices, with applications such as health monitoring sensors.
“It was a very enriching experience,” says Lluís. “We learned how to better communicate our science and had the chance to record our videos in a professional studio. I’m really happy to share the result!”
The video was recorded at the end of June 2025, with the support of the INPhINIT fellowship program.
