The ICMAB staff organized many different activiites for their colleagues on Friday, 6 June 2025, to celebrate the Institute's anniversary. Check out the winners of the many activities we had!
As happens every year, we celebrated the ICMAB Party, this year on Friday 6th of June. The day was packed with different activities for everyone, all organized by ICMAB staff!
We started the day by having breakfast at the garden:

After everyone had breakfast, we had several parallel activities going on: some people went plogging, other decided to move their body at the ICMAB garden, some other did some sketching, while some people played board games, chess and even go! During all morning there was as well a gimcana style activity consisting of finding the letters LGTBQI+ across the centre!

After that, at 11, we had a brand new activity of this year: a workshop on anthotypia!

And as well, our classical cooking competition, with two categories: mediterranean and international!

During all morning, as well, there were the semifinals and the final of the ping-pong tournament!

Before having lunch, we had our party pregó, given by Maribel Contreras.

For lunch, we had some fantastic paellas! Vegetarian, with meat and with seafood. Which one is your favourite?

After lunch, all the awards for the different activities were handed out (see them all below), and we ended this fantastic day with a concert by Lume, starring one ICMABer. Do you recognize him?

The first prize of the sketching competition was for Sara Herraiz, the second one was for Mª Àngels Vilella and the third position was for Mahel Voulhoux. Which drawing is your favourite?

In the international category, Ishita Biswas won with her delicious Aloo pe Charcha. In the mediterranean category, it was Michela Prete with Sunday at Mamma's (Caprese di limone con crema di basilico). And the people's choice was for Darla Mare with her romanian "Salam de biscuiti".

The champion of the chess tournament was, for yet another year, Luis Ángel Pérez, the finalist being Xavier Rodríguez.

The winner of our classical ping-pong tournament was Ferran Vallès, and Takayuuki Shiino was the finalist!

The winning team of our 'Get all the letters' gimcana was composed of Roger Morales, Sergi Díaz, Anna Solé and Meritxell Toda!

And, finally, the winners of the ICMAB beach voleyball tournament were Stefano Fedel and Matteo Fettizio! Congrats!
