The talk aims to initiate a dialogue about the need for new materials for technological applications and the needs of our current society. In general, it will focus on discovering molecular-based materials in our environment, and will ultimately describe some examples of molecular electronics and the research they enable, as well as the techniques used to analyze individual molecules.
