Doctor Rana Adel's's PhD thesis was part of the PhD Programme in Materials Science from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).

Why did you choose ICMAB for your PhD?

It is a great institute in Spain.

How would you explain your research to a non-scientific audience?

That they can get a mobile light source of energy.

What are the main applications of your research? Could you give us an example?

All the industrial applications of flexible solar cells.

Team work.

The environment.

To be more cooperative and to have the ability to work in teams.

What are your plans once you finish your PhD?

Searching for new opportunities in industry.

What do you wish you had known at the beginning of your PhD, that you can recommend to the ones who are starting?

To write down a Gantt chart for their Ph.D. and try to be committed to it.

Why did you become a scientist? Who have been your role models?

Because I love to explore the unkown - Zweil.
