Campus Gutenberg-Cosmocaixa is an initiative focused on science culture and communication from the Màster en Comunicació Científica, Mèdica i Ambiental (UPF Barcelona School of Management) and the Fundació Bancària “la Caixa”, in collaboration with the Centre d’Estudis de Ciència, Comunicació i Societat de la Universitat Pompeu Fabra (CCS-UPF), and the Associació Catalana de Comunicació Científica (ACCC), the Associación Española de Comunicación Científica (AECC) and the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología (FECYT).

Campus Gutenberg-CosmoCaixa will take place on 16-17 September in Barcelona, at CosmoCaixa. We encourage you to participate! You can register here.

Workshop: from the lab to the TV

The idea of the workshop is to challenge the participants to become professionals from a communication office of a research center or university. They have to convince a TV programme that their research results are awesome, and that they should be on TV. There will be different TV programmes (kids, news...) with different characteristics. The participants will have to choose the best strategy to appear on TV (graphical elements, headline, keywords...). The idea is to perform an interview and record it, and to evaluate the best strategy and the results with the rest of the participants. Get ready to be challenged!

The organizing team of the workshop is formed by: Anna May Masnou (ICMAB-CSIC), Ana Belén Martínez and Laia Torres (ALBA Synchrotron), Ona Tribó and Gemma Ortiga (PRUAB), Sebastián Grinschpun (IFAE), Zoila Babot (CRAG), Pere Figuerola (ICP), and Daniel Arbós (IDIBAPS).

The workshop will take place on Monday, 16 September, from 12:15 to 1:45 pm. Don't miss it!
