High school boys and girls have been participating in the awards since 2016. The purpose of the calls is not only to make visible women scientists and technologists but also to make teachers, students, families, and social environments aware of the important role of women in science and technology.   Check the annual awardees: https://amit-cat.org/activitats-anuals/premis/

The awarded works this year have been:

- The invisibility of female mathematicians, by Marina Pastallé (Institut Castellbisbal: tutor: Javier Bravo Grau). First prize.

- Silenced voices: Denouncing gender bias in healthcare, by Magali Labastida (Escola Súnion de Barcelona; tutor: Lluís Domènech). Second prize.

In 2002, only one year after its creation at the Spanish level, the Association of Women Researchers and Technologists (AMIT) was presented in Barcelona. In 2004, the associated people in Catalonia began activities as an AMIT-cat node, which since 2007 has been included in the Registry of Associations of the Generalitat of Catalonia.

We encourage all ICMAB staff to submit expressions of interest to be co-tutors of high school projects that may participate in the next X Edition of this initiative by filling this online FORM before the end of June 2024.
