Activities in which we collaborate
Besides the activities organized at the centre, both for ICMAB staff and external researchers, we also collaborate with the following initiatives:
Wikimarathon 11F - Women in Science
For another year, we are joining forces with the organizing centres of this female-researchers-themed edit-a-thon. On February 11 at 5 we will meet virtually or at PRBB in Barcelona to add and complete female researchers pages in Wikipedia, in any language desired.
Wikimarathon call on February 11#Científiques programme
As every year, some ICMAB researchers will join the programme #Científiques. The initiative is organized by the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation (FCRI) and the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST). On February 11, dozens of female scientists will visit 6th-grade primary school and 1st-year secondary school students from Catalan educational centers to inspire and help overcome gender stereotypes, highlighting the talent of women in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

ClústerMAV: Jornada del Dia de la Dona i la Nena en la Ciència
Clúster MAV (Advanced Materials in Catalunya Cluster) is organizing on 11 February two different roundtables: the first one named Industry, with women from different companies and the second one about Scientific Knowledge, with three women scientists that will share their personal and professional experience in their fields as women. Amongst them, we are happy to share that our own Esther Barrena, ICMAB researcher at the SURFACES group, will be participating in this table!
