I am a tenured scientist at ICMAB since 2018. I received my PhD in Chemistry in 2007 from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. From 2007 to 2010 I was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Maryland and NIST (USA). In 2010 I joined ICMAB as postdoctoral fellow holding prestigious contracts among them the “Ramón y Cajal”. My research expertise is on the synthesis of functional thin films with engineered properties that can be used for energy applications ranging from superconductors to photovoltaics. A focal point of my current research is the rational design of new multifunctional oxide coatings for photovoltaics combining nanochemistry and cost-effective deposition methodologies. Also, I am implementing an atomic layer deposition laboratory at ICMAB. I am engaged in outreach activities and promoting gender balance in science.

I co-authored over 62 research publications in peer-reviewed journals including Nat. Mater, Adv. Energy. Materials, Adv. Funct. Mater, Chem. Mater, J.Am.Chem.Soc with over 2200 citations and h =26 (Google Scholar). I filed one patent, co-authored two invited reviews, two book chapters and several dissemination publications. I am co-editor of a Roadmap “Towards Oxide Electronics” 2019 together with Prof.J. Fontcuberta, Prof. F. Miletto Granozio and Prof. N. Pryds. Guest Editor of an Special Issue on Beilstein Journal of Nanotechnology. I delivered 23 invited talks in international conferences and in summer schools. I participated in 20 competitive research projects (Spain, USA, Europe, Japan) among them 5 as PI and 7 as work package leader. I co-organized 4 international conferences and one spring school in the field of functional oxides (EMRS, MSE, TOBE Cost Action, HERALD Cost Action). I serve in evaluation panels of national (AEI) and international agencies (ERC). Also, I co-supervised 6 PhD students (3 on-going), 4 Master students and 2 postdocs. I am in the editorial board of Scientific Reports from Nature Group since 2013. I have been awarded with “L’Oreal Women in Science 2017” and National nominee for “ITR2018 Women in Science”.
