Internship Opportunities for undergraduate students (NEW PROJECTS AVAILABLE)
University students from Science Faculties (Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science and related) and Engineering Departments have the possibility of holding internships at the Institut de Ciència de Materials de Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC), located at the Campus de la UAB, www.uab.cat. The ICMAB belongs to the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, www.csic.es. The number of available positions for each year will be limited and the best candidates will be selected.
We can offer short introductory Material Science research projects. The research groups of our centre have extensive expertise in a wide scope of synthetic methodologies, advance characterisation techniques as well as in theory, simulation and modelisation of materials and processes.
Applications can be submitted all year around, the internship period will be arranged on one to one basis. There is also the possibility of financial support through the JAE program (for more info click here ). Interesting tags of ICMAB If you are interested, please visit our web page www.icmab.es and send a short CV and a motivation letter stating which fields you are interested on at:

PhD and Postdoctoral Positions (RESOLVE)
We are looking for graduate and postgraduate candidates for PhD and postdoctoral
positions to perform research into resolution of enantiomers of industrial
relevance.
The work will be carried out at the Barcelona Materials Science Institute
Ferromagnetic oxides on silicon for spin injection
We are looking for PhD candidates for a PhD position to investigate the integration of ferromagnetic oxides on silicon wafers.
Interface phenomena at oxide heterostructure interfaces
We are looking for candidates for a PhD position in the growth and characterization of complex oxide heterostructures, with the purpose of exploiting emerging physical properties at the interface between different oxides. The successful candidate will develop a work in the frame of an international collaboration with the laboratory of the Unité Mixte de Physique CNRS-THALES (http://www.trt.thalesgroup.com/ump-cnrs-thales/) in Palaiseau (Paris), France. The PhD student will be trained in thin film growth (in-situ RHEED), advanced microstructural characterization, including transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD), as well as electrical transport characterization. The successful applicant will be enrolled in the Ph.D program of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

PhD and Postdoctoral Positions (NANOSELECT)
-
PhD student and Postdoctoral positions (NANOSELECT)
PhD student and Postdoctoral positions are offered in different research fields of the NANOSELECT project coordinated by the Institut de Ciència de Materials de Barcelona, CSIC. The focus of the project is on generating new knowledge on superconducting materials for power application and magnetoelectronic and nanomagnetic devices for innovative electronic and information science applications. The project involves highly multidisciplinary research in chemistry, physics, materials science and electrical and electronic engineering.
