The conference will be held near Barcelona, a modern, cosmopolitan city rich in cultural heritage and history.
Barcelona offers several attractions for tourists, including several museums, gothic art, Gaudi’s modernism art, the Olympic area, etc. Several other touristic places are near by and well connected to the city: roman Tarragona, Figures and the Dali’s museum, the catalan Romanesque, Montserrat. Late spring is the best time for a visit, as the summer heat and crowds have not yet arrived and vegetation is at its best.
Weather in Barcelona in May is very pleasant, with air temperatures between 18 and 25 oC (65 and 77 oF) . Sea temperature is about 20 oC (68 oF).
Barcelona is well connected with most of the European cities as well as some other international cities. Several traditional airlines and low cost companies operate from the modern, international airport. The city is also well connected by train and several roads to the rest of Spain and to other European cities.
Given the touristic attractiveness of the city, there is a wide variety of hotels in the city and in the surroundings. It is highly recommended to book the hotels following the committee recommendations at your earliest convenience.

HOW TO GET
The Serhs Campus Hotel is located in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona's central campus, in Bellaterra (Cerdanyola del Vallès), 20km outside Barcelona. The UAB campus have excellent communications with the city of Barcelona and its international airport.
There are buses from the airport to the centre of Barcelona (Catalunya square). In the Catalunya square there are Metro and train (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC)) stations. Barcelona's airport also has a train link to the main Barcelona railway station: Sants Estació.
